I am a complete nube on Linux. I have been running a site for the past 8
years on a Windows box, and I have a windows box at home from which I
develop. Yes, I do have a virtual Linux Unbuntu so I can learn and get up
to speed.
Now that the site is running on a Linux box, I can take advantage of
..htaccess for SEO, but again, I'm really new at this, and it reg ex just
befuddles my old mind.
Here's what a URL could look like now:
http://example.com/merchants.php?m=Acme+Widget+Company
So, my script is looking at the value of m in a MySQL table, and spitting
out the information to the browser.
Here's what I would LIKE it to show:
http://example.com/merchants/Acme+Widget+Company
What is the best way to do this? I seem to be confusing myself even
further when I google for information. Help!
Thanks in advance for your assistance, and I wish you all a good weekend.
