I have a client that began with their own domain name before I began the co=
ntract. The domain had been purchased by their in-house tech expert via GoD=
addy, and used their Domain Privacy.
That employee left (let go) several months ago, and not surprisingly, we're=
now having a problem. The domain expired, and of course, no one now knows =
how to access the domain. And since the info is private, no one even knows =
what email address was used to buy it.
I emailed GoDaddy, who replied with a simple:
Unfortunately, Domain Services will not be able to assist you with your cha=
nge request as you are not the account holder.
The client tried contacting the ex-employee, who actually replied, but said=
that he couldn't remember what email address he used.
Any of you have experience with this type of issue? This is a relatively ne=
w one for me, and since GoDaddy seems unwilling/unable to help, we're all s=
