I have use the "Create Nameserver" feature at my domain name registrar
to create a master nameserver that will be the SOA. This was four days
ago. When I SSH to my Debian Lenny virtual private server account where
the site for this nameserver is located and do nslookup I find it cannot
find the nameserver which is of the form ns3.example.info. It displays
** server can't find ns3.example.info: NXDOMAIN
When I do the same on my local Windows XP computer nslookup finds this
nameserver and its IP address.
Enough time has passed that I would expect ns3.example.info to be
everywhere on the Internet by now. I need to know what is wrong.
If you desire to respond directly remove the "sj." from the domain name
part of my email address. It is a spam jammer.
