We have had major problems with junk mail (AKA 'spam') and we are
currently trialling an outfit called EPA who are supposed to be
filtering out our spam emails.
The problem is that, although we have changed our MX record for the
mailserver over 1 month ago (mail.ourdomain.com) so as to route
directly to the EPA, it appears that many spammers are completely
ignoring the MX record change and are directly emailing our
mailserver's IP number.
The problem is that (without extreme costs) we are unable to move our
mail from the IP number. We are told that *eventually* spammers will
stop using our IP number... - HOWEVER after more that 1 month, there
is still a ton of spam arriving directly at our mailserver that has
not been filtered by EPA.
Will it ever stop?
