I am having trouble accessing an alias that I've configured on my
webserver. I am running Apache 2.2.11 on Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.7.
I have found a bunch of great tips on alt.apache.configuration, and
O'Reilly's Mac Dev site, but I am not able to connect to the alias
site i've created.
I have a test site that is located in /Users/sford/Documents/
NowPlaying. In there i've created a basic index.html file, and
a .htacess file with the rules Options +Indexes. I have also
configured my httpd.conf file with the following alias
Alias /test /Users/sford/Documents/NowPlaying
Options Indexes MultiViews
Allow from all
When I try to connect to http://[local ip].com/test I get the dreaded
Forbidden error. I have also set the permissions on the NowPlaying
folder to 777, but I still can not access it. One post on here said
to use the ls -Z command to check the permissions, but I just get
"illegal option --Z"
I am hoping someone reads this and sees some oversight on my part.
